Around June, some of the wildebeest will have reached and congregated around the Grumeti River in Kirawira – Serengeti’s Western Corridor. At this point, the migration is halted or slowed down as the channels of the river prove difficult to cross giving plenty of opportunities to spot the herds on the plains and riverbanks.
Balloon experts suggest flying before dusk or on the break of dawn due to the higher probability of friendlier wind speeds at these times.
