Day 1,2: arrival, a city tour and canopy in nyungwe NP

Arrival to Kigali international airport, . You will be taken on a city tour of Kigali after the briefing. The city museum, the genocide memorial site in Kigali, the former president’s palace, local markets, and art shops .transfer to Nyungwe National Park second day, early morning.

Day 3: nyungwe NP chimp trekking

Following an early breakfast, you will meet with forest ranger at the Gisakura RDB park offices and depart to explore Nyungwe’s primates and scenic grandeur. 13 distinct species of primates inhabiting the area, Nyungwe N.P. is a great site for primatologists, and most tourists will participate in at least one tracking excursion, the most popular activity is chimp trekking. Chimps are tracked in groups of eight beginning very early in the morning, and you will only have one hour in their company after they’ve been located. Because they generally stay in dense forest, sightings aren’t as reliable or as clear as gorillas, but their engaging playfulness and human-like qualities make the long day worthwhile.

Day 4,5: Volcanoes NP Gorilla Trekking

We make our way into the Volcanoes National Park as the first light of morning breaks through the mist clinging to the summits of Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabyinyo, Gahinga, and Muhabura. It can take several hours of challenging travel in wet and muddy circumstances to track the gorillas through the peculiar foliage. The journey would have been worthwhile if you saw a gorilla. Back at the hotel for lunch.

Day 6,7: Bwindi National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park visit

 

Bwindi Impenetrable NP: There are nine additional primate species in the forest, in addition to the endangered mountain gorilla. Chimpanzees, olive baboons, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and l’Hoest’s monkeys are among these animals. Elephants can be seen in the area, however they are rarely seen. Occasionally, bushbuck and several varieties of forest duiker are seen. The park’s bird and butterfly checklists are quite impressive.

Queen Elizabeth National Park: The above Safari will bring you across Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is noted for its sculpted scenery with rolling grassy hills and picturesque Crater Lake beaches, as well as a number of diverse mammal species. Day 8,9: Murchison Falls National Park

Majority of the Big Five ( colonials hunters used to phrase “Big 5 ” to refer to the five most dangerous animals to hunt on foot )  are seen, but rhinos aren’t. Elephant and buffalo herds are widespread, and lion sightings are frequent. Jackson’s hartebeest, waterbuck, and Uganda kob are examples of antelope that can be seen, large herds of Rothschild’s giraffe. Budongo Forest, in the south of the broader Murchison Falls Conservation Area, is home to chimps and other primates.

Murchison Falls National Park has the most diverse biological variety of any park in the nearby, with 76 distinct mammalian species and 451 different avian species.

The River Nile attracts a wide variety of animals, including crocodiles, hippos, and water fowl, on its trek from Murchison Falls. Lions, warthogs, buffalo, the rare aquatic sitatunga antelope, giant forest hog, Uganda kob, topi, waterbuck, elephant, and leopard are among the other animals found in the park.

There are 76 various varieties of mammals and 451 distinct species of birds.

Day 12,13: Lake Nakuru National Park

The magnificent Lake Nakuru National Park is located on the Great Rift Valley’s floor, bordered by woodland and bushy grassland. From Lake Nakuru itself to the adjacent escarpment and scenic peaks, visitors can appreciate the great natural diversity and different habitats. Bird watching, hiking, picnicking, and wildlife drives are all popular activities in Lake Nakuru National Park.

The lake is rich in avian, with 400 resident species on the lake and in the neighboring national park, and varies in size from five to thirty square kilometers depending on rainfall. Thousands of small grebes and white-winged black terns, as well as black-winged stilts, pelicans, cormorants, avocets, ducks, and migrant waders, can be observed during the European winter. The adjacent national park is home to black and white rhinos, as well as Cape buffalo, African wild dog, zebra, eland, waterbuck, and lion. The large number of leopard sightings and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe has made Nakuru famous, at daytime, the acacia and euphorbia woodlands provide refuge for animals, making Nakuru an ideal wildlife-viewing site, while the hippo pool is a popular day out.
