11-DAYS EXTENDED WILDLIFE SAFARI IN UGANDA
This 11 days Extended wildlife safari in Uganda entails exploration of the western national parks including beautiful Murchison falls National Park famous for the incredible and strongest water falls. You also experience the “Primate capital” Kibale Forest National Park prominent for harboring 13 primate species including the chimpanzees, the “Medley wonders” of Queen Elizabeth national park for wildlife game drives, the tree climbing lions and the Kazinga channel. Wrap-up your safari with a visit to the mist Bwindi impenetrable national park harboring the highest number of Mountain gorilla in the world in addition to grabbing most of the gorilla related vacations in Uganda and a variety of endemic Bird species.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our designated VIP Meet & Greet Lounge Host who helps you through a fast-track assistance with VISA and luggage collection. Please look for a white sign board with your name. After immigration and bag collection, you will then be handed over to our driver guide, who will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: WHITE WATER RAFTING
Early in the morning at 05h00, you will set off for a 2 hours’ drive to Jinja city. Upon arrival at 08h00 depending on the traffic, you will attend briefing for this remarkable experience with guidelines from a white-water rafting professional. You will then depart with enormous rubber boats carrying up to eight people inclusive of a guide and followed by an emergency boat all throughout the trip monitoring your safety while enjoying the thrill and exhilaration of the Nile white waters. With five grades in the course of rafting on the Nile, you must be prepared to hold your breath when plunging into the rapids. The adrenaline rush and the rural scenery along the river side’s delivers exciting and scenic beauty for the day. A delicious buffet lunch on a private island in the middle of the Nile will mark the beginning of the end to this fascinating and mesmerizing life time adventure. White-water rafting is limited people aged 16 and above.

DAY 3: ZIWA RHIONOS – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Following breakfast at 07h00, you will be picked up by Heritage Safaris driver guide who will drive you for a 7hrs to Murchison Falls national park. En-route, you will engage in rhino tracking at Ziwa rhino sanctuary. After lunch at 13h00, you will then continue with your journey to Murchison fall. Upon arrival, you will drive to the top of the falls for a tour around the falls. Sounds of the roaring thunder of the river Nile welcomes you as you feel the force of the water under your feet as the half a kilometer-wide river narrows through just 7m wide and cascades down through a 45m drop. Murchison Falls National Park has 76 mammal species and 451 bird species. Reptiles like the Nile crocodile, hippo and the rare semi-aquatic Sitatunga antelope. The big game mammals that you may have a glimpse at include; Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffes, warthogs, giant forest hog, Uganda Kob, topi and waterbuck to mention but a few.

DAY 4: GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE
After a cup of coffee at 06h00, you will be picked up by Heritage Safaris driver guide who will lead you for an early morning game drive on the southern banks of the river. The morning drive will take you through different habitats offering you a great opportunity to watch some of Africa’s un spoilt Savana and the BIG 5 game including lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards. Other wildlife to see includes giraffes, Hartebeest, Bushbucks, Jackal, hyena, oribis, Uganda kobs and many others. After this rewarding game drive, you will return to the lodge for a late breakfast followed by lunch and a little relaxation. In the afternoon at 14h00, you will enjoy a 3hours boat ride sailing to the bottom of the falls along the river Nile. The Nile hosts large concentrations of Hippos and crocodiles as well as a number of bird species including the rare shoebill stork, Fish Eagle, African Skimmer, Grey-crowned Crane, Black-headed Gonolek, Goliath Heron, Green-winged, Long-toed Plover, Saddle-billed Stork.

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Today after breakfast 06h00, you will be picked up by Heritage Safaris driver guide who will take you through a 7 hours scenic drive from Murchison falls national park to Kibale. Upon reaching Kibale forest, you will transfer to your lodge fully surrounded by the mystical calls of the monkeys followed by an evening at leisure whilst utilizing complementary activities offered by the lodge. Over a dozen primates inhabit this national park, and various types of monkeys grace the trees around your verandah. Close your eyes, and the soundtrack will provide an incredible appreciation for how remote you are.

DAY 6: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING – COMMUNITY WALK AT BIGODI WETLANDA SANCTUARY
After a paradisiac breakfast 06h30, you will be picked up by Heritage Safaris driver guide who will drive you for 30 minutes’ to Kanyancu visitor center and report to the ranger station at 07h00 for a briefing followed by searching through the trees as you set off for chimpanzee trekking. After an interesting and memorable search for the chimpanzees in the forest, you are privileged to spend 1 hour with them taking photographs and videos and return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch at 14h00, you will visit Bigodi wetland sanctuary a community based conserved effort for a village walk to immerse you into the interesting cultures of the community.

DAY 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK – BOAT RIDE ON THE WILDLIFE-RICH KAZINGA CHANNEL
Following a relaxed breakfast 09h00, you will be picked up by Heritage Safaris driver guide who will drive you for 4 hours to Queen Elizabeth national park with part of this spent on a game drive in the park. Your destination will be Kazinga Channel the spillway that slices through the park to connect lakes Prince George to Prince Edward. It is along here that wildlife congregates and an afternoon’s boat cruise will reveal a succession of giants. Elephant herds squirt water on the banks as large hippo pods roll on sandbanks, and crocodiles bathe in the sun. Some hippos escape the water to wander across the savannah, and barge past a series of ungulates also in search of water. Your boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel will make a gentle contrast to the exhilarating walk of previous day in Kibale national park. After this breath-taking activity, you will then be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 8: BIG GAME SAFARI ON UGANDA’S PLAINS
After breakfast at 06h00, you will be picked up by Heritage Safaris driver guide who will lead you for an all-day game drive with packed lunch. Your guide will ensure to take you to every corner of the park to give you all the opportunity to site almost all the game in the park watch some of Africa’s un spoilt Savana and the BIG 5 game including lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards, giraffes, Hartebeest, Bushbucks, Jackal, hyena, oribis, Uganda kobs and many others. After this rewarding game drive in the main park land, you will have lunch at mweya safari lodge. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive as you head to Ishasha sector to search for tree climbing lions highlight of Queen Elizabeth national park. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 9: BWINDI IMPINETRABLE NATIONAL PARK – BATWA CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
On this charming day at 08h00 (after breakfast), you will be picked up by Heritage Safaris driver guide who will through a +4-hour scenic drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will enjoy the beautiful views of the green vegetation as you ascend and rise into the mountains on a remote road around the south of Bwindi Forest. Upon arrival at the park, check in at lodge, followed by lunch. later after lunch at 14h00, you will visit the Batwa community for Batwa cultural experience where you get to Learn as you enjoy one of the most authentic cultures. Your guide will usher you through their forest life before gazetting the forest as a protected area. You will watch these pygmies dance, sing the cultural songs as well as storytelling, handling the bow, gather honey, and picking herbal medicine from roots and leaves a local way of treating the people

DAY 10: ULTIMATE GORILLA TREKKING
This is a day like no other! A day that you’ve been waiting for! Up until this day, you’ve been building up the momentum to meet the famous endemic mountain gorillas. Your day begins with breakfast at 6:30 am, then head to Rushaga park reception for briefing at 07h00. Thereafter, you will be guided through Bwindi Forest jungle to search for the shy mountain gorillas. You will have 1 hour after meeting the gorilla family. You will get full briefing of their family formations, background, and observe their life style in their own habitat and family setting. After this mind-blowing activity, you Will return to the lodge for lunch followed by a relaxed evening and dinner whilst utilizing the complementary offers at the hotel.

DAY 11: TRANSFER TO KIGALI – KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL – DEPARTURE
At 8h00 (after breakfast), you will take a +4-hour scenic drive to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have lunch at hotel milles collines. After lunch at 14h00, you will visit Kigali Genocide Memorial to commemorate the 1994 Tutsi Genocide where the remains of over 250,000 people are interred. You will then have the opportunity to pick out some of Rwanda’s unique art pieces and blends including baskets, coffee, chillies and many others at selection of key Souvenir shops including Kimironko market before transferring you to the airport for your homebound flights.
